Story
On 14th June, I will be attempting (with the hope of completing!) the National Three Peaks Challenge which involves climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales in under 24 hours (with travel between sites and any shut eye included on the clock!). Come 15th June, expect to see me broken, bruised and not able to lift myself back up off the toilet seat.
Over the next 6 weeks I will be spending my life in the gym on incline and running up and down Box Hill like a mad woman to prepare myself for this gruelling trek to make the ascent and descent of Scafell Pike (978m), Snowdon (1085m) and Ben Nevis (1345m).
I can't admit to signing up for this challenge purely for enjoyment factor. As fun as I am sure it will be, this is all in aid of raising funds for my chosen registered charity Mental Health UK, a charity partnered with my employer Lloyds Bank who have organised this event to raise money for a good cause. My aim is to raise a minimum of £700 and all fundraising will go directly to Mental Health UK, so dig deep guys!
