Huntington's Disease Association England and Wales exists to support anyone who is affected by Huntington's disease. It pursues the best possible care; provides training and advice to families and professionals; raises awareness, and promotes research towards better treatment and care.

Story

Huntington’s disease, which is often called HD, is an hereditary disorder of the central nervous system. It used to be known as Huntington’s Chorea or HC.

Huntington’s disease usually develops in adulthood and can cause a very wide range of symptoms.

The disease affects both men and women

Awareness needs to be raised about this terrible disease. All work carried out by the charity relies on money donated. Monies raised goes towards research and supporting families that are affected.  My family unfortunately has been hit by HD, and it is for these reasons why I am running Manchester marathon on Sunday 02 April 2017.
