Thank you to all my supporters for your kind and generous donations and words of encouragement.  I'm amazed and extremely grateful for everyone's support xxxx.  

My challenge:  to trek up a really big mountain in Ethiopia, the Semien, one of Africa's largest and most spectacular mountain ranges.  Reaching 4,430m, taking 9 days in total from 2nd - 10th October 2015.   I'm proud to be part of a team of 45 participants from DLA Piper aiming to raise a grand total of £185,000 for Unicef with whom we have an award winning partnership to strengthen the protection of children around the world.  Our work touches the lives of the world's most vulnerable children and will have a lasting impact on future generations.

The ultimate goal is to raise money and lots of it ... oh and also to ensure I survive! so please leave any top tips for those of you with trekking experience.  This will be the first time I have visited Ethiopia, the first time I'll reach in excess of 490m without taking an elevator, and the first time I will spend a week without washing (honestly) ;).  It is apparently a tough and challenging trek but my inexperience is my inspiration ...... or something like that.
