Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity bringing individuals, families and professionals together to beat muscle-wasting conditions.

Story

Climbing Kilimanjaro was a personal goal for me, not only for the physical challenge (which was pretty tough!), but also for a charity very close to my heart, Muscular Dystrophy - (MD).  I lost my nephew in Nov last year to MD and to see him deteriorate year after year was devastating; but we live in hope that every contribution buys us more medical research, bringing us closer to a cure for other children.

MD (Duchenne) is a life limiting condition. Most affected boys develop the first signs of difficulty in walking at the age of 1 to 3 years. By about 8 to 11 years (rarely earlier or a little later) boys become unable to walk, becoming wheelchair bound, and by their late teens the condition is severe enough to shorten life expectancy

I am asking for you to dip deep and donate a few pounds towards my goal, to help these children towards a better quality of life, and towards a cure.  All I ask is that you give what you can.  Thank you
