Story
Jaynie Huxley grew up in Audenshaw in Lancashire and moved to Saddleworth in 1985. With a background in performing arts, she then went on to become a mental health nurse with a view to pursuing a career in Dramatherapy. She qualified in 1991, set up a small freelance, private practice and thoroughly enjoying her work, moving to the Learning Disability service in 1994.
In 2001, Jaynie was diagnosed with brast cancer, at that point she left the N.H.S and became a staff trainer for Social Services. In 2004, Jaynie was unable to continue working due to developing bone metastasis in her spine, casuing her pain and disability. She was, however, supported and enabled to complete a three year part-time Art Foundation course at Tameside College.
Liver and lung metastasis made their apperance in November 2007, resulting in the next two and a half years of chemotherapy.
Jaynie died in June 2010. Let The Swearing Begin takes you through nine years of darkness, immense joy and the shadows inbetween.
