1 in 54 people are diagnosed with melanoma during their lifetime - yet 86% of all skin cancer cases are preventable and ignorance regarding how to spot the early signs remains widespread.
This happened to Sarah's Dad, Bill Smith, and he died at just age 61. Sarah is a dermatology Nurse and is dedicated to this cause. In her Dad's memory she founded Billy’s Army and became ambassador for registered charity Skcin as they share the same aims about raising awareness and educating people on skin changes and sun safety.
Skcin is completely dedicated to providing FREE national educational programmes and resources that raise awareness of the importance of sun safety to prevent skin cancer and how to detect the early signs and symptoms, to improve prognosis and save lives. Please help raise funds for this cause - together we can make a difference and save lives. A small donation will be made to the Charles Burrell Change Fund.
