Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am fundraising for beautiful Layla Jade Lovie. The much cherished daughter of a friend of mine.
Sadly on New Years Day at 5.30am 2013, Layla passed away in her sleep, aged 11 days. Layla was a much loved and longed for baby that filled everyones hearts with joy from the moment she was born.
Losing anyone you love is difficult but when it's a baby at the start of life it leaves your world shattered.
After a little help to conceive, Jenna and Ronald welcomed the safe arrival of their beautiful daughter Layla Jade Lovie into the world. She was born on December 21st 2012 at 6.37am weighing a healthy 6lbs 13 & 3/4. All their family and friends could not wait to visit and shower her with love.
In the short time that was spent with Layla many bonds were formed and she was utterly adored.
When the news came of Layla's heartbreaking death it filled us with disbelief and plunged her parents into darkness. It has been with support and extreme kindness that they are managing to come through such a sad time.
It is with dignity and strength that they wish to continue to fundraise for their beautiful daughter and other families to help raise awareness and prevent others experiencing this terrible loss.
The Scottish Cot Death Trust have been a valuable support and comfort to Jenna, Ronald and their familes during this sad time and this is the Charity they would wish to fundraise for.
