After 150 years of playing cricket at the Gladstone Estate we had to move to a new home. We are raising money in 2018 with the 40 mile Lyke Wake Challenge to support the building of a pavilion and community facilities at the new ground. Any donation to support our walkers would be fantastic.

Story

Last year Hawarden Park Cricket Club conquered the Three Peaks Challenge in twenty four hours. To try and top last years feat a group of intrepid (or tepid) cyclists are going to cycle from our new home ground in Moor Lane Hawarden to the home of cricket Lord's in London. We will be starting the challenge on 4th July 2012 and and completing on 6th July. A total of 210 miles will be cycled over the three days. We are financing the trip ourselves so any money dodnated goes to helping develop the ground for future generations of juniors, seniors, female or male players to enjoy the game of cricket. Thank you for any dodnations you are able to donate.

So please sponsor us now!

Hawarden Park Cricket club, founded in 1866 is having to relocate its ground after 144 years playing within the Hawarden Castle Estate. The club if to survive, has to generate money to cover the cost of a new pavilion and a ground development, no mean feat for one of Wales oldest clubs. The club is very ambitious, running 3 junior sides, 5 senior sides and the only women’s team in N Wales (playing its cricket in the Cheshire women’s league)and it is determined to ensure that future generations have the opportunity to play cricket in Hawarden. Your contribution will contribute the cost of the ground work being undertaken in 2011, and the pavilion construction in 2012. Any contribution you can make will be gratefully received.

Many thanks

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
