Well I finally did  it, I  managed 10 lengths in all which I am really pleased about although I did have a few moments of blind panic. The day was really well organised and I took part in the beginners swim, although got to say if I’d known the rest of the beginners where going to cheat and wear arm bands then I’d have done the same, think I made the average of the beginners to above 6 !!

A great day and probably summed up for me by the young girl who started the event maybe  about 6 or 7 who had been treated at GOSH and had a heart transplant. Many thanks to those who have sponsered me.
