Story
Hard & sobering facts (April 16) : -
Over 47000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer in UK every year, that's 130 per day whilst over 330,000 men in UK are living with prostate cancer - 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime.
Every hour one man in UK dies from prostate cancer - that's more than 11,000 men in UK every year.
My much loved granddad, Sidney Kenny-Levick died from prostate cancer.
After learning more about this terrible disease from one of my colleagues, Kevin, who himself has been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer at under 50 years of age, a number of us at NatWest are determined to raise funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK to try to help ensure that the children of today never have to deal with this indiscriminate disease.
On 19th May, I and my friends and colleagues at NatWest, including Kevin himself, will be walking a marathon - please support me or indeed any one of us, to raise money for this extremely worthwhile and hugely important charity.
Jeff
