3 Peaks Challenge · 16 August 2013

Papyrus is a young person’s suicide prevention charity. That means we provide urgent support, education, campaigns and conversations that keep children and young people safe from suicide. And above all else, we’re here. We’re always here. That’s how we save lives.

Story

On 16 August my sisters and I are taking on The 3 Peaks Challenge in memory of a good friend to raise money for PAPYRUS. We will be climbing up Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours. That’s 3,064 meters of ascent over 23.5 miles, with some crazy driving in-between! We're starting at the bottom of Ben Nevis on Friday at 5pm, then will climb all 3 (most of Scafell Pike in the dark at some stupid hour of the morning) within the next day attempting to finish at the bottom of Snowdon at 5pm on Saturday 17.

It’s a very tough challenge so I will be training hard doing various climbs over the next couple of months. I have already been to the Brecon Beacons to train on the Pen Y Fan Horseshoe and of course I’ve climbed the Wrekin in some lovely weather with Lara! I’m also heading to the Lake District to climb Scafell next week so I will keep you all posted on my progress.

I do enjoy a bit of a walk but I’m not the fittest of people, so please help me keep on track by sponsoring me. I’d love to raise as much money as I can for this fantastic charity who continue to help people in their time of need, and offer support to their friends and family.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you,

Jemma.
