We did it! When the knees, hips and ankles hurt, I thought of all the sponsorship and it really does make you run faster. So much faster that as predicted, it was me who fell (cruelly wiped out by a fellow runner) just yards from the finish!
Thank you all so much for your kind messages and support. Means an awful lot.

Dear All
Who would have thought on Saturday 26th January 2013 that Rich and I would be in the luxurious position of being able to run together.
Our whole experience of stroke has been brutal, heart-breaking, painful, bewildering, life-changing and at the same time miraculous. From being told that Rich would be blind and paralysed on that dreadful day and those that followed, his recovery has been unexpected and incredible, displaying real bravery and determination.
To read Rich's story in his own words, visit his JustGiving page at the link below or through Facebook.
We will run for the Stroke Association who support those whose lives have been changed forever. Many thanks to those who have been there and kept us going. We will reward you with comedy pictures of me crawling over the finish line as R sprints past.
