Jen & Oliviers Kilimanjaro challenge · 2 October 2011

Caring Matters Now is the only UK charity supporting children and adults affected by Congenital Melanocytic Naevi (CMN) - a genetic condition, consisting of dark brown hairy birthmarks covering up to 80% of the body. The condition has many expressions, some of which can lead to medical complexities

Story

We have decided to take on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for the charity Caring Matters Now, which supports families affected by cmn, congenital melanocytic naevus. It also raises awareness and raises funds for research to be continued into the condition at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Our daughter Mia was born in 2006 with a giant cmn covering her back. It was an upsetting time and we didn't know if she would be otherwise affected by the condition. Fortunately she is healthy and happy and we want to help the charity which helped us and helps so many people.

Please see www.caringmattersnow.co.uk for more information.

Thank you!
