Informa 3 Peaks Challenge · 22 May 2015
The 3 Peaks Challenge is 42 kilometers long, 3,000 meters high, & undertaken over just 24 hours... Given I don't like heights, exercise or lack of sleep I must be mad to attempt this. Please support my insanity by sponsoring me & thereby help vulnerable young people via The Prince's Trust.
In May 2015, along with my colleagues from Informa, I will be climbing Scotland's Ben Nevis, England's Scafell Pike and Wales's Snowdon, in order to raise money for much-deserving charity The Prince's Trust. I have never done anything remotely like this before & am honestly really quite scared. I will have to train hard for months and months to even be remotely fit enough to attempt this challenge & fully expect to hate every minute.
So, why I am doing this? Simply, it is to help young people who have all but given up on life, by raising money for The Prince's Trust. Young people come to the Trust and receive their first and often only meal of the day; for help with mental illness and living on the streets; to escape the violent gangs in their communities & for support in dealing with the numerous problems facing too many young people today.
The Trust's vital programmes give young people the emotional support they desperately need, as well as the practical tools and confidence to transform their future. Whether providing basic skills like personal hygiene, budgeting or cooking, or giving valuable experience in industry, they provide young people with the essentials they need to get back into education, or find their first job. Quite simply they are the turning point for these young people, changing their lives.
Please help me to raise money for The Prince's Trust by sponsoring me today. Thank you, Jen XXX
