I'm a lucky so and so. I have a wonderful wife and am a dad / step-dad to 4 great kids. Like everyone I've also had times when I've had to watch my nearest and dearest go through it and also had to endure some tough times myself.
One of the, if not the toughest time we ever went through as a family, was the loss of a daughter in November 2006.
I went with Annette to Manor Hospital, Walsall for the 20 week scan and was told our baby was dead. Annette was induced and had to return to the hospital 2 days later to give birth to our daughter, Niamh.
Even thought we went on to have another son in 2009, the upset and the impact of losing Niamh will always remain and is never forgotten.
Unfortunately these things do happen. I want to raise as much money as possible, in memory of Niamh, to make sure anyone else who suffers a loss like ours can get all the support and help they may need.
Thanks
