My story

On my Dad's 60th birthday last weekend (21st April) he requested people put £10 in the RNLI bucket instead of giving him a gift.  He raised £600.00 on his birthday.  Two days later the money was stolen from his van outside the boathouse.  It makes me sad that this should happen, so to make things more positive I want to try and raise the £600 which was stolen.  I am hoping that by raising money here my Dad's birthday wish of giving a donation to the RNLI would still happen.

UPDATE 28/4/12: THE STOLEN MONEY WAS ANONYMOUSLY RETURNED TO THE BOATHOUSE LAST NIGHT.  THANKS TO ALL THAT HAVE DONATED HERE.  WITH THE FUNDS RAISED HERE AND THE RETURNED MONEY WE HAVE RAISED ENOUGH TO TRAIN ONE NEW CREW MEMBER!!!  I CAN'T THANK YOU ALL ENOUGH FOR YOUR GENEROUS SPIRITED GIVING :)

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My updates 3

Once again thank you to everyone who has been kind enough to donate here. It costs £1,000 per year to train one RNLI crewmember, so with the stolen money returned and all the donations made here, Dad's birthday will enable the RNLI to train a new crew member :) Thank you

The stolen cash has been returned!! It was posted through the letterbox at the boathouse some time last night - amazing. Someone's conscience must have been stirred by the headline on the Manx Independent yesterday. Thank you so much to everyone that has made donations here.

Woohoo! We've reached the half way mark! Thank you so much to everyone that has donated so far. Long live the Manx community spirit :)
