I am taking part in the Armpits4August campaign which you can read more about in my team information.

About a year ago when I was trying for a baby, I was diagnosed with PCOS and told by my doctor that this would make having a baby more difficult for us. This was obviously very distressing for us, and I really believe that if there was more information out there for sufferers then it would have been far more easy to deal with. I'm now expecting a baby in November(!) and everything is going well, but I've really had to dig around to find correct information and support I wanted. Even during pregnancy, there's very little support on the NHS for women with PCOS, with just constant warnings in the literature given by midwives and maternity units about the added risks PCOS brings during pregnancy, and very little advice on self-help. This is why I'm growing my pit hair (and during the strappy tops season!) to hopefully raise a bit of money for this great cause.
