Cancer will affect all of us during our lifetimes, and this year it has affected mine more than ever.  February marked the 10 year anniversary of my dad's death to cancer, at the age of 61.  In May, it killed a lovely friend of mine, after years of brave, brave fighting.  She was the same age as me.  And in June I received a message from another friend, and my heart broke as I read those words again... "I have cancer".

If you were born after 1960 like me, then 1 in 2 of us will be diagnosed with cancer during our lives.  That's either you, or me.  So help me make sure those words are not a death sentence.  Help me make sure Cancer Research UK can continue their pioneering work towards a cure for every cancer.
