Story

Our good friend Jonny Kidd and his family are experiencing the very worst nightmare any parent can imagine.

Now and again Jonny shares just how brave Dexter (4) is as he copes with the intensive treatment needed to treat his leukemia at the Manchester Children's hospital. We don't like to ask too often because we know it's hard for him to find the words.

We also see just how brave Jonny, mum Katie and big brother Joey (7) are having to be every single day to keep a sense of normality in everyday family life.

There is nothing we can do to help directly - other than being a distraction to Jonny when we're needed and plying the kids with chocolate every time we see them. But we can at least help the hospital that's helping him.

Dexter requires multiple blood transfusions, and mum Katie has asked people to give blood as often as they can.

If you want to help us to help the Kidds, and families just like them, then please make a donation or commit to giving blood.

Thanks for your help.
