Story
I love my Sundays, especially ones that on the rare occasion I can relax totally guilt free! But, on Sunday the 8th May 2016 I will not be relaxing, I will be taking to the grounds of Blenhiem Palace and will be pushing my way across the entire course in a wheelchair with Hayley and Jackie my lovely work friends.
Why? Well, as most of you know I have been working for the Spinal Injuries Association for 5 months and I love it! The Spinal Injuries Association is a national charity dedicated to helping the 40,000 spinal cord injured people in the UK rebuild their lives.
In my short time I have already seen first hand the incredible work that this charity delivers every day and I am very proud to be part of it. A spinal cord injury can happen at any time to any one of us. Throughout my time at the SIA I have met so many people who have overcome challenges that are hard to imagine ever having to go through, but with the support of the SIA they have been able to rebuild their lives.
Every penny raised goes directly towards supporting spinal cord people and their family and friends, and will enable us to continue to deliver life-long services that support the physical and emotional needs of spinal cord injured people and their families.
Time to start improving my upper body strength! Thank you for your support!
Love Jen (SIA Team Awesome)
