who wants to help us break £2500?!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you know, I (Jenny) lost my lovely Mum to cholangiocarcinoma (cancer of the intrahepatic bile duct- google it, it's rare) in June and whilst she was undergoing treatment at Clatterbridge, something made me decide to run a marathon - even she thought I was crazy for signing up to it! I think it might have been the 5 year old child I saw whose hair had fallen out due to the chemotherapy but whose smile was there for all to see because the staff kept him happy and played with him.

Clatterbridge as a centre and as individuals made the whole process of treatment so much easier than any of us had imagined and to thank them for making Mum's illness less stressful and painful for everyone, I decided I wanted to give them the money raised from what will probably prove to be the craziest decision of my life :-)

Hayley is just a lovely person who having already run a marathon and therefore being infinitely fitter than me has lovingly agreed to partner me on the run, raising funds for a centre she has never been to. She's so nice you should sponsor us just for her kindness.

We will be running the Brighton marathon, in Brighton, so that's just over 26 miles, or a marathon as it's known, in Brighton on 15th April 2012.

What she probably hasn't realised is from about the 15th mile she'll have to give me a piggy back!!

Also, because Hayley is also insane as well as lovely, she will running the Edinburgh Marathon on 27th May, so you should really give lots of money seeing as she's running 52 miles for an amazing cause!!

Anyway, this is our page and every single penny that you raise goes to helping people undergoing treatment for cancer and their families.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
