Story

Having just completed my first half marathon in Jersey in 2 hours and a few seconds I was looking for my next challenge when Peter, one of my training partners, suggested the BUPA Great North Run.  Pete and Trisha's little boy Joe has a condition called Diamond Blackfan Anaemia.

I am raising money for Diamond Blackfan Anaemia UK.  A registered charity which supports those diagnosed with the condition - it is a rare condition and the charity provide a vital support network to those affected. You can visit their website on line to find out more about their work.

I am also making arrangements for Barclays Wealth to match the amount I raise, pound for pound (up to £750) so please take 5 mins to sponser me and I promise to do my best on the day and also enjoy my first big event - 56,000 other runners, the World's biggest half marathon, and the highlight of my 2010.

Thank you so much for taking the time to support me
