Story

In 2017 I stood on a perfect beach in Thailand kicking myself mentally for not losing the excess weight.  Determined to change, I joined Slimming world as soon as I returned home.

Here started my journey and for good measure I dragged my good friend and colleague Scott Turner along for the ride.  We became each other’s will power, I managed to lose 3.5 stone and he lost an incredible 5.5 stone.

Next, came the exercise, somehow (neither of us are sure how it happened), we started running together.  With the aid of the incredible Bose wireless headphones that sync together and Scott's mad obsession for creating a perfect soundtrack for each of our runs.  We now run 3 to 4 times a week and find ourselves looking for more crazy challenges.

So in nutshell, that's how we have ended up here, and if you are going to do something as crazy as a half marathon, then it goes without saying, you do it for a charity that is important to you.

Thank you in advance to all that support us.  And check back for updates and sweaty shots of us from time to time.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
