2011 Robin Hood Half Marathon · 11 September 2011 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Hello!

Thank you so much for taking the time to consider sponsoring me.

My lovely friend Louise has two gorgeous boys and very sadly one of them, Max, has been battling leukaemia. I'm extremely glad to say he's showing it who's boss (yay!) but it brought home to me just how devastating a disease it is for those affected and their families. So it was a no-brainer for me to choose to run on behalf of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research in honour of Max when I signed up for the Robin Hood Half Marathon. The fantastic news is that we are soooooo close to making leukaemia and blood cancers a thing of the past, and charities such as Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research are a huge factor in this. I also have it on good authority that they're a lovely bunch which is always nice!

Anything AT ALL you could spare would be unbelievably appreciated and will help spur me on while I'm hyperventilating round the course ;0)!

Thank you very much for reading.
