So, after years of watching the London Marathon on the television and saying 'I'd love to do that...' I've finally decided to just get on with it! I'm very excited (and quite scared!) about fulfilling a life time ambition and ticking off one of those infamous 'things to do before I'm 30', but most importantly I am very proud to be running for Sands - the stillbirth and neonatal death society.

Sadly, 17 babies are stillborn or die shortly after birth in the UK each day. Sands aims to ensure that as few families as possible have to experience this terrible loss. They work in partnership with health professionals to improve the quality of care and services offered to bereaved families, and promote research and changes in practice that could help to reduce the loss of babies' lives.

On Sunday 25th April 2010 I will be running the London Marathon in memory of Thomas and Eva. Please sponsor me and raise money for this wonderful charity. Each and every donation will be extra motivation for me to complete the extremely daunting 26.2 miles in the best way that I possibly can!
