Brake is a national road safety charity that cares for road victims and campaigns for safer roads for all. Brake's National Road Victim Service is a specialist support service to help families cope with the shock, turmoil and devastation that road crashes cause families across the UK every day.

Story

I have chosen Brake as my charity as the more they can do to reduce the impact that young drivers have on the roads of Britain today the better for all of us.  The statistics make grim reading.  Their actions cause accident’s that have a devastating effect on themselves, their own family and other third party families that we need to reduce dramatically and Brake tries to achieve this by engaging youngsters before they take to the roads.

So many young talented people loose their lives needlessly as they don’t think of the consequences of speeding and driving recklessly.   I know we all learn by experience but this one example where people need to learn from other people’s experience and not let it happen to them.

I know most charities are worthwhile but I hope you all recognise the importance of this one and how it can devastate people by cutting short the life of a young member of the family.

Thank you for your support.
