On July 14 2012, two enthusiastic amateurs, Jez Thompson and Ant Golsby, will attempt to climb the highest mountain in Western Europe, Mont Blanc. The climb will involve 4 days training and acclimatisation, then a 2-3 day summit attempt. We welcome any support.

 

All proceeds raised will go to our two chosen charities: Plan International and Sarcoma UK.

Sarcoma UK - For all of those who work with Anthony, you will need no introduction to this charity and all the work Rita is doing with the Sarcoma charities. For others, you may be unaware of these types of cancer. Sarcomas are rare cancers that develop in the supporting or connective tissues of the body, and are some of the most common childhood cancers with 3200 cases of sarcoma diagnosed each year in the UK alone.comas are rare cancers that develop in the supporting or connective tissues of the body 

 

Mont Blanc (French) or Monte Bianco (Italian), meaning "White Mountain", is the highest mountain in the Alps, Western Europe and the European Union.It rises 4,810.45 m (15,782 ft) above sea level and is ranked 11th in the world in topographic prominence. It is also sometimes known as La Dame blanche (French for "the White Lady") or Il Bianco (Italian for "the White One").
