Story

NewPORT to NewPORT 2011 (via John O'Groats and Lands End)

Current position on Tues May 31st after 36days - Having cycled to John O'Groats and Lands End I have now reached home in Newport. I have cycled a total of 2,368miles and spent the equivalent of 9.2 days sitting on a bicycle saddle!

On Monday April 25th  2011 I started cycling from my home in Newport Essex to John O'Groats and then onto Lands End before returning to Newport Essex.

I cycled via Stamford, Gainsborough, York, Stanley Crook, Hawick, Edinburgh, Luncarty, Banchory, Upper Knockando, Invergordon, Helmsdale, John O'Groats, Tongue, Bonar Bridge, Dores, Kappanach, Lochearnhead, Fauldhouse,Lockerbie, Ambleside, Whalley, Tarvin, Clun, Ross on Wye, St Briavels, Street, Silverton, Tintagel, Zennor Lands End, Porthleven, Fowey, Yeoford, & Over Stratton, Cholderton and Princes Risborough.

I have raised funds for Epilepsy Research in support of the Sophie Hannon Memorial Fund.

Sophie Hannon (a former Newport Primary School and Saffron Walden County High School pupil) tragically died on July 20th 2010 of an epilepsy related accident aged only 23.
