The chance to run a half-marathon in Sierra Leone does not, it is fair to say, come up very often, some might say for very good reason, afterall in June not only will it be very hot, it is also the start of the rainy season: others might see it as an opportunity.</p> <p>I think I fall into that latter category but its also a chance to raise some funds to help CODEP's work with the communities in Waterloo and Lunsar to promote literacy and provide literacy resources and training facilities. The troubles of Sierra Leone are well known, with your help CODEP can help work to provide a more promising future for the children of this war damaged country.</p> <p>I should also say that all the money you donate will go direct to the projects CODEP is curently working on and not to defray any of the costs associated with my trip.</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
