Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In August it will be 8 years since my Father-In-Law sadly passed away from a sudden heart attack. Kev was just 45 years old, fit and healthy and days away from becoming a Grandad for the first time.

Having to tell my heavily pregnant wife that her Dad had died will be a moment in my life I will never forget.  It was later discovered that Kev had suffered from a type of Cardiomyopathy which is a disease of the heart muscle. It is an inherited disease, however it can affect some family members more than others and some people, like Kev, will have no symptoms at all. He was a well loved and popular man who is greatly missed and I am going to do this skydive in memory of him.

The BHF is the UK's number one heart charity.  Their vision is a world where people do not die prematurley from heart disease.  Founded in 1961, for over 50 years they have been fighting heart disease and making ground-breaking changes in society and in science!  Their research is powered by our support; every pound raised, every minute of our time and every donation to their shops helps to make a massive difference to peoples lives.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
