Hello everyone,

I am just writing this email to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated money to the justgiving page that I set up for Jersen Manio, who is currently undergoing treatment for Leukemia in a Manila hospital. We have so far raised £1767 to help towards his medical expenses and to get him the treatment he desperately needs. I am told by Chrissy that the cost of Jersen's treatment is approx. £300 a day, which is far more than any person can afford for any long length of time. Jersen has undergone some Chemotherapy but had to stop his course as his platelets went so low. He has received 6 more bags of platelets this weekend and they will resume Chemo as soon as possible. Jersen is not able to brush his teeth at the moment as this could be dangerous for him, but I am told he is in good spirits and is doing well compared to most of the children on his ward. This is a difficult time for his family and for Chrissy as she is faced with tough decisions, especially as she also has to think of the other 80+ children living in POC. We would appreciate your continued prayers for a miracle for Jersen as we know that God is able to heal him completely!! To everyone who has donated through the justgiving site, it is a massive blessing!! When Jersen's family asked for a donation from the Filipino senators in Manila...they donated £30!!!  We are so blessed to be supported by such a wonderful family of God, who cares for one another. Thank you so much.

Love and God Bless,

Rachel Bedicer

Thank u all so much for your donations!!! Please continue praying for Jersen, he needs more blood...and a miracle of healing! The money u have all donated is a massive help!! Thank u!! Rach x

Jersen Manio, 14 is one of 8 children. He has grown up at POCCH with his mother, brothers and sister, as his dad has been incarcerated in Muntinlupa Prison for the last 12 years. He is a lovely quiet boy who loves to play football and basketball. He has lived in our Boy's home for the last 12 years and is a good older brother to the younger boys. Jersen has recently been diagnosed with Acute Leukemia. He has been rushed to hospital in Manila for bone marrow tests and blood transfusion. He is going to need a lot of treatment and prayer. As many of you may know, the Philippines has no health care support for the poor and ALL treatment must be paid for before it is given. Just for the blood alone it will cost £300, that is not including the costs of the transfusion or any other treatment he will have to undergo.

POCM is struggling financially at the moment for general running costs of the ministry, but this is one of our children and he needs our help. If you feel you may be able to help in any way please consider donating through Justgiving so that we can claim gift aid (if you are a UK Tax payer). You may have friends that would be willing to help, or may know a group or a church that could help to raise some funds for Jersen's treatment. Please spread the word to as many people as you can. We need to act fast in order to stop this illness in it's tracks!! We have a Big GOD and we are believing for a miracle for his healing and provision for all the medical treatment he may need!!

Thank you so much guys!! Please dig deep for this little lad...
