Matt Partridge and Simon Wannop will be running the Jersey Marathon on Sunday 2 October 2011.  Matt and Simon, as the self-appointed 2011 Renewable Energy Generation Marathon Team (www.renewableenergygeneration.com), will be raising money for 4 fantastic and worthy charities:

 

1.       NSPCC (https://www.justgiving.com/Jerseymarathon2011nspcc);

  

2.       Renewable World (http://www.justgiving.com/Jerseymarathon2011renewable);

 

3.       Headway Surrey in recognition of Mel Elias’ injury and on-going rehabilitation; and

 

4.       Daniel’s Promise (http://www.bmycharity.com/jerseymarathon2011dp).

 

For those of you unfamiliar with marathons, they’re 42.195 kilometres (26 miles, 385 yards in “old money”), so we’re being very brave/mad/stupid (delete as applicable after 2 October…)!
