You may or may not know that in July I am going to attempt to climb the highest free standing mountain in the World, Kilimanjaro.  I am hoping to raise funds to contribute to a £40,000 group target.  This is money is being donated to Ashgrove School in Penarth to pay for specialised outdoor play equipment.  Ashgrove school is a school that caters for young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) aged between 4-19.   ASD is a Triad of impairments affecting communication, interaction and socialisation so play is very daunting and difficult for these students.  THE ULTIMATE PLAYGROUND will be an interactive and sensory play area specifically designed for the students.  It will be invaluable in enabling these young people to interact and engage outside the structure and confinds of the classroom.
