Story
So as you will know by now I, the most un-fit, clumsy human being you know, have signed up to cycle 400km across Kenya!
Crazy considering the last time I rode a bike, I fell off, crashed into a cactus and spent the next half an hour removing prickles from my legs...
But I digress. I will be cycling 400km through the Rift Valley in Kenya on the 11th February 2012 in association with Women V Cancer. The bike ride will be 5 days long, that's an average of 80km a day, 80KM A DAY! OH MY GOD WHAT AM I DOING?!
To give you an insight into how those 5 days will be spent, I quote from the Women V Cancer manual:
'Our cycle challenge starts on the slopes of Mount Kenya, Africa's second tallest peak.' (Er what? No one mentioned mountains?) 'This extinct volcano dominates the Central Kenyan highlands at 5199m.' (Volcano???) 'We encounter savannah plains, game parks...' (don't lions hang out in game parks?) '...and tropical rainforests'.
I'm raising money for 3 amazing women's cancer charities including Breast Cancer Care, Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action.
Please please help me raise my target of £3000 to help women fight cancer. Too many people suffer this horrible disease and it's about time I did my bit to help them fight back.
