Thanks for taking the time to visit my page. I thought you might want to know why I am walking 100km over the May bank holiday weekend ...
Having both an aunt, and now a friend, Brian, living with Parkinson's, I know how frightening it can be. You face a very uncertain future, you are unsure how and when it will change your life and what it really means for you and your family. The specialist knowledge, experience, skill and support of a trained Parkinson's nurse can make all the difference. Brian has a specialist nurse, Anne, from King’s College Hospital who has become his friend and confidante, helped him understand his condition and worked with him to improve the quality of his life. She is amazing. She's spent time with his family ensuring that they understand what he’s going through. She's made the management of his condition easier for all of his family.
Parkinson's Nurses are critical to improving the lives of everyone affected by Parkinson's, but isnt enough money for everyone with Parkinson's to have this amazing aupport. This is why I have decided to join Brian and his team of 51 to walk the 100km from London to Brighton on 23/24 May to raise funds for such an important goal.
