Bath Rag is the student led charity group within the Bath University Students Union, raising money for local, national and international charities through student volunteer fundraising

Story

Hi all!

I've decided to take part in a cycle challenge from Bath to Bruges, which will last three days and cover a distance of 260 miles (or 420km), in order to raise money for Bath Raise and Give (RAG). The exact itinerary is as follows:

Friday 5th June - Bath to Guildford (approx. 100m/160km)
Saturday 6th June - Guildford to Dover (approx. 100m/160km)
Sunday 7th June - Calais to Bruges (approx. 60m/100km)

The money raised will be donated to RAG's big four charities: Time2Share, Jamie's Farm, Forever Friends and Unseen. Each of these charities support important causes, and I would be delighted to help them as much as possible with my contribution.

Time2Share supports young disabled people between 0 to 25 years of age throughout Bath and Somerset. Time2Share aims to reduce social isolation by recruiting volunteer befrienders to visit service users to build confidence and self-esteem. They run support groups where disabled young people can meet up with peers facing similar challenges, to have fun in a non-judgemental environment and organise regular social outings.
Jamie's Farm helps children to flourish in education, at home and in the community. The unique 'family, farming and therapy' transforms the lives of vulnerable inner city children, acting as a catalyst for children to make positive changes, and supporting their teachers to make a lasting difference.
Forever Friends raises funds to support thousands of patients cared for at the RUH, Bath. Currently supporting the Cancer Care Campaign they plan to build a new cancer centre at the hospital to benefit the 2200 new patients treated there each year.
Unseen provides emergency 24hour accommodation at our 8bed safehouse for female survivors of human trafficking. Unseen aims to combat modern day slavery and supports frontline projects which protect vulnerable people from becoming enslaved.

It would be great to have your support in this! :)
