I have wanted to do this climb for a long time now & finally plucked up the courage to book it..

The 8 day trek starts on the 31st January and ends 7th February 2015.

Meaning that On my 24th Birthday (February 2nd) I will be hiking for 7 hours starting at an altitude of 2'980m and ending the day at 3'840m! 

Kilimanjaro.. is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world at 19,341 feet above sea level.

This climb will be an incredible experience for myself.. But i wanted to use this oportunity to help others.

I have chosen to raise money for the Brighton House Trust, an amazing charity which provided support for nearly 1,000 people last year who were sleeping rough in Brighton & Hove. They also helped prevent a further 280 people from becoming homeless.

Here is how your money can help :

£2 will pay for a homesless client to have their clothes washed and dried.

£5 provides fresh milk for homless clients each day for a month

£25 will pay for an assessment and support plan for a rough sleeper

£50 provides a healthy breakfast and lunch for 60 First Base Clients

£100 will pay for skills training to help a homless person secure employment
