I am running the Bristol Half Marathon in aid of the Cornwall Blind Association.

In October last year I ran the fun run at the Eden Project dressed as a chocolate bar. If you had told me that this year I would be running a half marathon, I would have laughed at you... and the idea.

But it is really happening. I started working for the Cornwall Blind Association four months ago - and in that time, have realised that the charity is much more than just a fundraising machine. It is full of wonderful people who truly care about each and every one of our clients. They really give 200% and more into their work. This is why I have decided to combine my (brand new) love of running - and my mission towards helping our charity continue the life changing work it does.

So - please, just take a moment to think about what your life might be like if you became visually impaired, or blind. What if it happened to your partner - or your child? We exist to help people for whom the above is a reality. We provide amazing services that always have a friendly face attached - and most importantly - the team at Cornwall Blind Association understand the situations that people are faced with.

Please help me to make more of a difference to peoples lives - the Cornwall Blind Association is a signpost in a life that has been changed by visual impairment - we realise that life does not stop - it just takes another direction.
