In December 2002, my daughter Jessica Smith sadly passed away following a freak accident. This year on 30 August 2011, Jess would be 21. To celebrate her life, with the help of a few colleagues

in Yorkshire and Clydesdale Bank, we have decided to organise a Charity Ball which is taking place on 30 September 2011. We have set ourselves a target of raising £5000 to donate to the Intesive Care Unit at Sheffield Children's Hospital who desperately tried to save Jessica's life.

In order to help us reach our target, in addition to our Charity Ball, a few of the team have agreed to undertake the Yorkshire Three Peaks. As the majority of the Three Peaks volunteers are female I think 3 Shopping Malls would be far more appealing than 3 Peaks! None of us have ever undertaken anything like this before and the thought of completing 25 miles in under 12 hours is daunting to say the least.

However, we have all agreed that on September 2nd, we will kick off our high heels, throw down our designer hand bags and swap these for unattractive walking boots and a rucksack (which none of us possess!). We have convinced a few gents to join us on the walk to support us in conquering those peaks.

On behalf of us all, I would like to thank you for your very kind support and for any donation you may wish to contribute to this fantastic charity.
