Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Two years ago this week our dear friend and colleague Carrie Hilton died of bowel cancer, aged 37.

On 25th March 2010, I will be embarking on a ten day trek through Nepal in order to raise money for Beating Bowel Cancer. Setting off from Kathmandu it will take me up through the mountainside amongst the high peaks of the  Annapurna Range.

As most of you will know me more as a girl who likes a chic boutique hotel and a cold glass of wine, I hope you'll sponsor me handsomely, if only for the image of me CAMPING for ten days.

Bowel cancer is the second largest cancer killer in the UK, affecting 35 500 people every year. However it is also one of the most curable cancers if caught early enough. Beating Bowel Cancer works hard to save more lives by raising awareness of symptoms, promoting early diagnosis and encouraging open access to treatment choice for those suffering from this terrible disease.
