At Dig Deep, we believe everyone has a fundamental right to clean water, safe toilets and good hygiene through the achievement of UN Sustainable Development Goal 6. We work in Bomet County, Kenya, home to 1 million people and one of the most underserved and least resourced areas of the country.

Story

Welcome to my page, thank you for visiting!

In the summer of 2012 I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with a group of students to raise £25,000 for the charity Dig Deep.

Dig Deep is based in Kenya and provides communities with clean water sources and biogas. Over half of Kenyans living in rural communities have no access to clean water and as a result tens of thousands of people each year die. With the continuation of droughts, deforestation, under-investment and poor water supply management within Kenya the situation will worsen…but Dig Deep can help to alleviate the problems that communities with no access to clean water face each day.

To date, Dig Deep has provided 25,000 Kenyans with clean water! This achievement can not be underestimated, dirty water does not only spread and cause deadly diseases such as Cholera and Typhoid but the time-intensive pursuit that girls and women have to take on to collect water each day results in girls not being educated.

Please help us to raise money so we can provide a community in Kenya with a well. ANY DONATION WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED – YOU WILL BE SUPPORTING A FANTASTIC CAUSE!

Please Dig Deep!
