Jessica's Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge!

Trek26 Yorkshire Three Peaks 2019 · 29 June 2019 ·
UPDATE
Hello! Firstly, thank you to everybody who has donated so far, we are very grateful and you are supporting a fantastic cause! Secondly, as some of you may know, Jess is pregnant and due in May so is not able to do the challenge this year. So we have decided to defer all of our places to an event in 2020. We are hopeful it will still be the Yorkshire Three Peaks but if not we will sign up for an equally tough challenge all in the name of the Alzheimer's Society!
Thank you again for your support and we will keep you posted!
On Saturday 29th June 2019, I am taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge with my partners in crime, Cheryl P and Imogen W. Together we will embark on a 24 mile trek through the stunning Yorkshire Dales to the peaks of Pen-y-ghent (2,277ft), Whernside (2,415ft) and Ingleborough (2,372ft). The circuit includes a total of 5,249ft of acsent and descent and we aim to complete the challenge in less than 12 hours!
"Dementia research is underfunded when compared to the huge economic cost of the condition. This underfunding means that there are relatively few researchers working in the field of dementia. Alzheimer's Society is dedicated to addressing this shortage through our Dementia Research Leaders programme." (Alzheimer's Society 2018).
