Acorns supports around 750 children and almost 1,000 families every year. The charity needs to raise £11 million each year to provide its lifeline care. Your support means Acorns can continue to be there for local families facing the unimaginable. Together, we are stronger.

Story

Some years ago I attended the funeral of Amy Cooke, the 3 year old daughter of my good friends Sarah and Rich Cooke. I remember thinking that there shouldn't be a need for coffins that small.

Amy was born with an undiagnosed and life limiting condition and the support that Sarah and Rich received from Acorns Children Hospice was phenomenal. Whilst the love and care they showered on Amy and the strength they had through this time was truly humbling.

Since Amy's passing Sarah and Rich have been keen fund raisers for Acorns and this year I thought I should get off my arse and raise some cash for Acorns too.

To read more about the good work of Acorns then please follow the link below to Sarah's page.

So dig deep, this is an awesome cause that offers phenomenal support to families in some of their toughest times and darkest hours.

Thanks and remember to tick the gift aid box .
