<p>To Everyone we know and anybody even vaguely connected...</p>
<p>This is the year of my (Jill!) 40th birthday and I thought it was a good time to do something useful. I have persuaded my already 40 year-old friend (Merewyn!) and running partner to join me in this. We intend to run a minimum of 590 miles each this year because one ShelterBox costs £590. If 100 people sponsor each of us 1p a mile ( i.e.<strong> £5.90 </strong>for the hard of maths!) we are sorted; that is 2 ShelterBoxes. And multiples thereof...</p>
<p>This equates to nearly a marathon a week in chunks! Amazing for such old women!</p>
<p>You get the gist. We know loads of people always need sponsoring but think of it as buying some incredibly need-worthy people a couple of beers.</p>
