Virgin London Marathon 2013 · 21 April 2013 ·

Retina UK is the only UK charity dedicated solely to working for people affected by inherited sight loss. We fund medical research to accelerate the search for treatments for the future, and provide information and support to help people lead better lives today.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

My name is Jill Hendry, I am 18 years old and I suffer from RP (Retinitis Pigmentosa). It is a degenerative eye disease with no cure at the present time. I was diagnosed with RP in March 2011 and since then my eyesight has deteriorated considerably that I now have less than 10% vision. To raise funds to continue the research to help find a cure for RP I am running the London marathon on the 21st.. April 2013.

As my vision is so poor I will be running with my guide partner Elaine McKay. Elaine is kindly giving up much of her spare time to train and run with me.
