The weather was gorgeous- which made the scenery even more spectacular. May have been a different story in the rain! Altogether it was an enjoyable experience, even more so knowing that I have made a good contribution to my chosen charity. Jill.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>To support the appeal I am crossing the country ON MY BIKE!! 135 miles, from the Irish Sea to the North Sea. I plan to start in Whitehaven, travel through the Northern Lake District, climb the Pennines and finish at Sunderland, altogether some of the most beautiful (and hilly!) parts of Great Britain. I have only taken up cycling in the last couple of years (being over 50, unfit and needing to lose a few pounds!) and need all the encouragement and support I can get, so please consider helping me raise money for this worthy cause, make the pain worthwhile and give me a reason to pedal (possibly stagger) up all those hills!</p> <p>If you are new to JustGiving please read the information below and don't forget to click the Gift Aid button - It adds an extra 25 pence to every &pound;1 I raise.
