Story

Holly & Tom Munden are leading 3 teams of runners in this year’s Knowle Fun Run, to raise money for an MS Respite Care Home in Leamington Spa. Jill & Lucy Munden are playing a very important role in the team in roadside encouragement and water gunning (!) and preparing the much needed refreshments after the run!

Sadly Jill Munden's brother, Peter, passed away earlier this year after a brave and courageous battle with MS.  He was just 43 years of age and was a complete inspiration to all of us, in how he coped with the challenges that such a cruel disease dealt him.

During the last 2 years of his life, Peter spent quite a bit of time at the Helen Ley Care Centre in Leamington and benefited from their wonderful care and support.  We now want to give something back and would be extremely grateful for whatever support you are able to offer in sponsoring our teams to run the 5 miles around Knowle.  We have set an ambitious target of £800 to raise in just 2 weeks but I know with your help, we can do it!

A Note from Holly Munden:

I am going to run for my Uncle Peter. He was funny, a good uncle and caring. I was about seven when my Mum and Dad told me that Peter had something wrong with his legs then it got worse to M.S. He tried to fight it but it got worse. I am very proud of him of how he coped with it. Peter is now up in heaven in peace. Thank you for reading. Holly xx
