We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

I'm taking part in the BIG collection for Alzheimers on Saturday 28th May, 12-3pm at Tesco, Ecclesall Road, Sheffield. I couldn't have asked for a better spot, its right next to Costa & Starbucks, so if you're local you can pop down for a cuppa and put any spare change in my collection box! I'd love to see you there on the day.

However, I know many of you would like to support this fantastic charity but won't be able to come down and see me. So, I've set up my Just Giving page and hope you'll be able to spare whatever you can.

Every charity is worthwhile and many of us support the ones closest to our hearts. For me, that’s the Alzheimers Society. My Mum was diagnosed with Alzheimers a few years ago and died in 2008. I know first hand what a heart-breaking and devastating disease it is.

Dementia is so much more than memory loss and it can strip victims and their families of their lives. People diagnosed need the love and support of those around them and they all need the continued support of The Alzheimers Society which does great work to ensure no-one has to go through dementia alone.

Thank you for giving all you can.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
