I worked as a professional fundraiser for Fight for Sight for seven years before I retired. I am honoured to have been associated with some of Fight for Sight's life-changing projects that improved the lives of children born with debilitating eye diseases and of the elderly whose quality of life is so seriously affected when their sight deteriorates.

Nigel and I retired three years ago - we still have pretty good eyesight and we are healthy enough to be able to do something that will help improve our future and the future of anyone who might be affected by eye disease. Any amount we raise can make a difference and we will be proud of the difference that we can make to finding a cure for blindness.

This is a daunting challenge that Nigel and I are undertaking. I will be amazed and delighted if we manage to survive this journey of over 1,000 miles - physically, emotionally and maritally intact!!!! I am not superfit and quite frankly, I need your support!!
