Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. I’m part of the Inspired Living group which aims to inspire ordinary men and women to adopt healthier lifestyles to reduce their risk of contracting cancer, produce medical research and at the same time raise funds for Cancer Research UK (CRUK) in the process.
Cycling has been adopted by the group as a form of exercise and we hold regular rides. To raise awareness and funds we’re holding a number of events, one of which is for a group of 30 riders to cycle from to in September 2010. The first leg will be a cycle4life ride from Winchester to on 4 September which is open to all - so if you would like to join in, just follow the link.
I’ll be part of the group continuing on to the Continent and will be spending 4 days riding around 100 miles per day to Bordeaux. Certainly a challenge for me as previously I had only been an "occasional" cyclist.
So why did I get involved? Well, its a challenge but more importantly its a really worthy cause. Many of us are touched by the impacts of cancer amongst family and friends and I would like to feel I have done something about it by raising some much needed funds.
